A New String to Hannah's Bow!

I wanted to thank the Salford Foundation for their contribution towards my cello last year which I am very grateful to have received, and also give an update on my progress.

Since purchasing the cello I feel I have made big progressions in my playing both within technique and also my sound. My teacher and peers have also noted the improvement in my projection and quality of tone. Having such a high quality instrument has allowed me to push myself as a player and build my confidence.

I am currently in my final year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and performed my final recital last week. This year I have also been performing with my duo and piano trio, most recently at Charlton House, I have also been working a lot with composers and exploring new repertoire. I am excited for the journey ahead which would not be possible without my cello. I cannot thank the Salford Foundation enough for the opportunity to own such an instrument.

Best Wishes,

Hannah Chappell
