In 2016 the Trust supported 11 year-old Aeryn with a grant for rock climbing equipment. Aeryn's mum Kerry tells her story:

Earlier in 2016 the Trust supported Billy with a grant for vital rugby kit whilst he was on trial at Salford Red Devils' U19's Academy.

Talented Billy has since been signed on a deal with professional rugby league team North Wales Crusaders, and in June he was chosen as Player of the Month!

Jess is a talented singer-songwriter from Irlam who has begun to launch her music career since the Trust first supported her in 2010.

12 year-old Emily first started cheerleading aged 6, and now trains for four hours per week with Salford-based cheerleading club Red Hot Flames. After doing exceptionally well in UK-based competitions, Emily was delighted when her and the youth pom team, ‘Wildfire’ were selected to represent the UK at the US finals in Pensacola, Florida in April 2016.


Hard work, dedication, commitment and a love of swimming have seen 13 year-old Ewan Wilson become a County swimming champion, recently winning a gold medal and 3 bronze medals at the Lancashire County Championships. He has also represented Salford in the National League Finals and at the English National Championships.
