Poverty affects children and young people in many ways. A lack of family income limits life chances and opportunities for personal development and progression. Often, a small amount of money can make a big difference.

The Salford Foundation Trust is a grant-giving charity that helps children and young people aged 5-25 years living in Salford (minimum of 3 years residence) to develop their hobbies, interests, skills and talents. Limited family income is a barrier to opportunity and the main focus of the Trust is the removal of those barriers.

Since 2004 we have supported more than 400 children and young people in Salford through our grants.
