A Stepping Stone to Success

About us

The Salford Foundation Trust is a grant giving charity that helps young people to develop their hobbies, interests, skills and talents.

The Trust does this by offering the opportunity to apply for funding that would otherwise be unavailable from any other source.

Who can apply?

If you are between the age of 5 and 25 and have lived in Salford for a minimum of three years then you can apply to the Trust. Please note priority will be given to applicants under the age of 21.

What can I apply for?

The Salford Foundation Trust will consider applications where you may be looking to pursue an opportunity which will help you to develop as a person or learn a new skill. This could be funding for a piece of equipment, an activity or a training course.

Successful applications have included requests in the areas of performing arts, sport, vocational or academic interests and skills and talents for self employment. This can include:

  • Equipment for dance classes
  • Music tuition
  • Thai boxing lessons
  • Singing lessons
